After connecting with a recruiter at networking event or interviewing with an employer, it’s a good idea to send a thank-you email within 24 hours.
- Thank the recruiter for taking the time to meet
- Reiterate your enthusiasm for the company and/or position
- Bring up memorable points from the conversation to make a more lasting impression
- Cite any skills you forgot to mention and your strong fit for the company
- Include additional contact info, such as a phone number and/or email address
- Email the recruiter within 24 hours of your interaction
